My initial thoughts include removing the existing finish wood floor then install ditra and modified thin set over the wood plank floor and lastly unmodified and ceramic tile over ditra. If i use a self leveler on my plywood subfloor which type of thin set mortar do i used to install schluter ditra or ditra xl. What do ya think. I will be putting ditra on top of it and 12x24 marble over that. About 110 square feet.

What is your recommendation to install ditra over existing flooring. I m interesting in hearing your thoughts before i begin my renovation. Can i use self leveling compounds over schluter ditra or schluter ditra xl. I have a few questions i want to be clear on before i do anything.

I used nova plan easy plus. It can be installed over a variety of substrates including plywood osb existing vinyl structural planks and concrete. For this project the ditra is being installed over radiant heating element embedded in self leveling mortar.
