For my floor i had 3 4 1x10 on a diagnal and 1 2 exterior grade plywood screwed down every 4 square inches into the 1x10 s beneath it only. Easy to install and ready to receive tile immediately.

Your tile then goes on the ditra. A word about ditra thickness. The free space provides an escape route for excess moisture and vapor that could otherwise cause damage to the tile layer above. I laid ditra into a layer of thin set then a layer of thin set on top of the ditra and back buttered my tiles as i laid them.
